Prediction: 2 All United Draw 🔴
Manchester United will be hosting Liverpool at the ”theatre of dreams” right after the International break. The news of Ole Gunner Solskear tearing into the dressing room with fury to express his dissatisfaction when Manchester United lost to Newcastle away from home has seen him admit for the first time ”that the players would get him the sack” if they continue playing like they did against Newcastle United.
Manchester United had loads of possession passing the ball left and right the flanks, there was absolutely no cutting edge, not a single Manchester United player could attempt a long-range shot or a dribble past the defenders. Marcus Rashford was lost during the better part of the game and only came alive when he moved to the left flank to take on defenders, even so, he wasted more opportunities in laying down a simple pass.

Newcastle were obviously better than Manchester United, they had better opportunities than Manchester United, they were compact when defending and every player took their role seriously. They were in the game, you could predict they were aiming to cause Man United an Upset and they did, they won the game and Manchester United made them look good like I predicted they would.
Manchester United are just 2 points above the relegation zone, Ed Woodward may have reassured Ole about his job as the manager of Manchester United but then again, it’s not entirely down to him alone, it’s down to the fans and the board. A defeat to Manchester United arch-rivals Liverpool might get Ole the sack letter. This were the same opponent that got Jose sacked last December and it looks like history is about to repeat itself except for, it isn’t December yet.
Solskear described Liverpool, as the perfect opponent for Manchester United right after the International break to showcase everything they’ve got. That said, Should Ole loose to Liverpool, Ed Woodward might sack Ole if he comes under huge pressure from all angles to sack the manager.
Liverpool are undoubtedly the best team in the league, they’re on a 17 game unbeaten run. Manchester United on the other hand can’t afford to repeat their Anfield embarrassing performance, that saw Jose got sacked last season. A repeat of that performance could seal Ole’s faith.
From a personal perspective, sacking Ole would be the greatest mistake Manchester United will make. He’s done well when it comes to recruiting players with the right attitude. Seventy percent of the players in this team are not worthy of playing for Manchester United and on top of that, he’s got 9 key players injured at the moment.
Summer signing, Aaron WanBissaka is injured, Victor Lindelof, Paul Pogba, Antony Martial, Luke Shaw, Eric Bailly, Jese Lingard, Phil Jones, Timothy Fosu Mensah are all injured, should all this guys be available I think Man United’s problem wouldn’t be as obvious as it is right now.
Liverpool are the team to beat this season, have seen them concede goals they shouldn’t concede, they’ve got some few weaknesses too but with so many players injured at Manchester United, am afraid they don’t stand a chance to exploit those weaknesses. In this moment, Manchester United need Paul Pogba more than ever and I don’t think he should be playing defensively, he needs to operate as a central midfielder with a more advanced role. Andreas Pereira isn’t the kind of player that gives you so many key passes, Pogba can do that. Pereira can partner with McTomminay to form a two-man defensive midfield, he’s done that in the past and I believe he can do that better than Matic at the moment. James, Pogba, Mata can all thrive well playing behind Marcus Rashford.
There’s still about 11 days to get players on the sideline into the team, Shaw has been training, Martial is still sidelined but might stand a chance, Pogba and WanBissaka should be available as well. If we have this guys we might stand a chance to get the goals in the net. We haven’t been able to do that in a while and on that note, I don’t see a winner or a loser, I think it’s going to be a 2 all draw.
Glory, Glory Man United 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
