Predictions: 0-1 United win 🔴
Manchester United current league start has been their worst in 30 years after the draw to Arsenal at Old Trafford last Monday.
They had an opportunity to set things right when they played AZ Alkmaar at the car jeans stadium but all they could do with that match was yet another stalemate. That leaves Manchester United with no win away from home in 10 matches.
I think Jose was right all along when he said “his best achievement was wining the Europa league and finishing second with Manchester United”. At the time he said that, it looked a lot like an absolute balderdash from a manager of his class but today, everything he said about the team is there for everyone to see particularly his rift with Paul Pogba.
There’re a lot of things wrong with this team, some of which I’ll agree with Jose and Olé at this point. I remember what Olé said towards the end of last season, he said “I’ll be successful with Manchester United but some of this players won’t be a part of that successful team”.
To be honest with you, After watching Manchester United against AZ Alkmaar, it became so obvious we’ve invested wrongly over the last five years. We’ve achieved absolutely nothing bringing in players below average for an awful lot of money who wouldn’t give the team and fans a memorable performance. What would the fans make of Fred? I can’t remember Fred giving us any memorable performances since United bought him. That goes for Matic, Lingard, Rashford, Pogba and Pereira who are all average players but yet earn an awful lots for what they give back.
An average Man United fan will agree with me that Pereira, Lingard, Young and perhaps Matic wouldn’t make Sir Alex Ferguson’s team, not just those but half of this team won’t make his team because he’s never the manager who allows certain individuals with absolutely no professionalism anywhere near his team. If you’re not about football he’d move you on.
There’s a need for a big time investment, January should offer us that opportunity to buy a couple of players and if I was Olé I’d go for another 3 for this team to fight for a top four spot. I’m happy “Moussa Dembele and Timo Werner” are among the list of a possible January reinforcement they are looking at.
There’re a 101million reasons why buying as much as 3 players in January might be the ideal thing to do.
- Not a single shot on target against AZ Alkmaar was one of them.
- Not a single win away from home in 10 games is another.
- Marcus Rashford has played 16 games, scoring only 1 goal from open play and 2 from the penalty spot. 3 goals in 16 appearances from a £200,000 a week striker.
- Manchester United only has 5 wins from 22 games since they last won against PSG last season.
- Jesé Lingard has only 4 goals and 2 assists since May 2018 for Manchester United.
- Tammy Abraham has more goals (7) than Marcus Rashford has had this season.
The list is endless and it tells you how bad it is.
Newcastle will be another tough game for Man United to win. They’ve done it this season beating Tottenham Hotspur away from home. They made life difficult for Arsenal and I believe that’ll be the game plan against Man United. It’s been very easy for Man United to pass the ball left and right the pitch doing a lot of possessive play because they lack the firepower upfront to turn a last ball to a goal, so scoring a goal will be a difficult thing to do.
It’s a difficult thing to predict what Manchester United will be playing now, so fingers crossed on that.
Let’s just enjoy the game by taking it as it comes, win or loose we’re still United.
Glory, Glory Man United 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
